This message spans the week immediately following Christ’s resurrection. Jesus speaks peace into the midst of the disciple’s fear. He places the priority of forgiveness before us, before calling Thomas, and indeed all, to faith.
This message, continuing our Easter theme, looks at the encounter between Jesus, and the two travellers on the way to Emmaus. The reading is from Luke 24 v. 13-35.
The Easter Praise Service included two videos. In one Keith and Kristyn Getty discuss the story behind ‘Christ is Risen, he is Risen Indeed!’, and in the second video, we hear the song being sung at the national conference of The Gospel Coalition.
This recording includes two messages; the first an interactive message with the children, the second preached after the children had gone out.
This message from John 5 v. 1-30 looks at Jesus’ encounter with the man at the Pool of Bethesda, and then goes onto look at Jesus words to those who criticised his healing of the man on the Sabbath.
In today’s message we come to the fourth and final ‘Servant Song’, in which we see the Servant as the one who suffers for our sins, but is glorified by the Father.
This evening’s service was planned with input from some of our youth. The speaker is Craig Purton from Wishaw, and Phil Gorry sings two songs.
