This is the message preached at our Remembrance Sunday morning service. Looking at David’s response to the death of his son Absalom in 2 Samuel 18, we think on the King who loved his child so much that even though he was a rebel, he would gladly have given his life in his place. We note that this is exactly what God has done for us in Christ.
