In another message in our ‘What DID Jesus do’ series, we once more consider Christ’s purpose in going to Jerusalem, as we follow Matthew’s account in Chapter 20 v. 17-34 As we see Christ give sight to the blind, we must ask “Has God opened our eyes to our need, to his love, and to […]

In this message from Isaiah 38, we explore Hezekiah’s response to the news of his imminent death. The lessons we learn from this chapter are not simply lessons about Hezekiah and Isaiah, but are also lessons that address issues we all face, especially in relation to the place of sickness and suffering within God’s sovereign […]

This message from Isaiah 37 is in many ways a climax of much that has gone before in the previous chapters. God delivers his people, demonstrating that He  is the one in whom they should trust, and also brings about Sennacherib, King of Assyria’s downfall. “Fading is the worldling’s pleasure, all his boasted pomp and […]

“WDJD: Jesus shows it’s not ‘fairness’ we need, it’s mercy” – Matthew 20 v. 1-16 (09/03/2014 – PM)

In this message from Matthew 20, Jesus makes clear that having a place in God’s Kingdom is not down to the hours we work or the fairness we perceive. It is all down to the mercy and grace of God alone.

This message from Isaiah 36 (and 37 v.1-7), asks the question “Who can you trust?” As Assyria’s Commander in Chief brings an ultimatum to the very walls of Jerusalem, the prophet Isaiah brings a message from the Lord, to rely on Him, and trust that He will deliver His people
